Terms of Service
1. Agreement to Terms
By booking a class or using the services of The Method Room Limited ("we," "our," or "the Studio"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Studio Membership and Bookings
Class Bookings
- All bookings are subject to availability
- You must be 16 years or older to attend classes
- Classes are limited to a maximum of 8 participants
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes with reasonable notice
Payment Terms
- Full payment is required at the time of booking
- Prices are subject to change; you will be charged the rate at the time of booking
- Class packs are non-refundable but may be transferred in extenuating circumstances (at our discretion)
- Introductory offers are available to new clients only and cannot be combined with other promotions
3. Cancellation and Late Arrival Policy
Client Cancellations
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled class start time
- Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) will result in forfeiture of the class credit
- No-shows will result in loss of the class credit with no refund
Late Arrivals
- Please arrive 5–10 minutes before class to set up
- Entry will not be permitted once class has started (for safety reasons)
- Late arrivals resulting in non-entry will be treated as a no-show
Studio Cancellations
- If we cancel a class, you will receive a full credit or refund
- We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of cancellations in advance
4. Class Pack Expiry
- 5-Class Packs are valid for 4 weeks from the date of purchase
- 10-Class Packs are valid for 8 weeks from the date of purchase
- Expired class credits cannot be used, refunded, or extended except in exceptional circumstances (at our discretion)
- Contact us if you need to freeze your pack due to injury or other extenuating circumstances
5. Health and Safety
Medical Disclosure
You must disclose any medical conditions, injuries, or pregnancy that may affect your ability to participate safely. This includes:
- Recent surgeries or injuries
- Chronic conditions (e.g., osteoporosis, herniated discs)
- Pregnancy or postpartum status
- Cardiovascular or respiratory conditions
Assumption of Risk
- Participation in Reformer Pilates carries inherent risks of injury
- You participate at your own risk and are responsible for knowing your physical limitations
- You should consult your GP or physiotherapist before starting if you have any health concerns
- Instructors may modify or restrict exercises based on safety concerns
Studio Rules
- Follow all instructor guidance and studio safety protocols
- Report any equipment issues immediately
- Wipe down your reformer and equipment after use
- Keep mobile phones off and out of sight during class
- Respect the studio as a calm, focused environment
6. Liability Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Method Room Limited, its instructors, and staff shall not be liable for any injuries, losses, or damages arising from your use of our facilities or participation in classes. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities.
This does not affect your statutory rights or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
7. Studio Etiquette and Conduct
We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate membership for:
- Disruptive, abusive, or disrespectful behaviour toward staff or clients
- Violation of studio rules or safety protocols
- Repeated no-shows or late cancellations
- Misuse of equipment or facilities
8. Photography and Videography
From time to time, we may take photographs or videos in the studio for marketing purposes. By attending classes, you consent to being photographed or filmed unless you notify us otherwise. You may opt out at any time by emailing themethodroom@gmail.com.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of The Method Room Limited and protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.
10. Private Sessions
Private Reformer sessions (1:1 or 2:1) are available by appointment only. These sessions are subject to separate booking and cancellation terms, which will be communicated at the time of booking.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
